The health and safety of our employees and clients is of the utmost importance to us. As the impact of Covid-19 grows, we here at Griffin and Jordan plan to continue meeting your legal needs during these difficult times.
Our firm will remain open. However, we are following the Governor’s Executive Orders and advice from the CDC, and our physical office is closed to the public at this time. The attorneys and staff will work from home if necessary and you likely will not even notice any difference.
With regards to will signings, we are offering a “curb side” will signing service. Documents can be signed in our parking lot with only one person approaching your vehicle to exchange documents. We encourage all clients to bring their own blue pens for signing. All clipboards and pens used by the attorney and witnesses in the office will be sanitized before and after signing. We respectfully request that parties not vital to the document signing do not attend.
With regards to real estate closings, documents that require a client’s signature will be left in a lockbox outside our door. We will let you know when your documents are ready for pickup. Once you have your documents in hand your attorney will contact you and walk you through the signing and drop off process.
If an in-person meeting is not required, our attorneys would be happy to meet with you via video or telephone conference.
Additionally, the Courts throughout the state have postponed all non-emergency pending matters. If you have a scheduled matter over the next several weeks, you should not appear in court before speaking with us. Your attorney will contact you.
The Social Security Administration has also closed its offices. Hearings are currently being conducted via teleconference. If you have a hearing scheduled in the upcoming weeks your attorney will contact you.
We will continue to keep you informed as circumstances change.
We understand that this is a trying time for everyone. We feel privileged to serve this community and we will continue to do everything possible to make sure your legal needs are met. In the meantime, wash your hands, stay home when you can, and listen to the experts. We will get through this together.
